Emerges pinkish red with green veins!
Colorful throughout the seasons!
Acer palmatum 'Muro gawa'. The Muro gawa Japanese maple, named after the Muro River in Japan, is one of distinction! It has a round-topped form and palmate leaves. Foliage emerges pinkish red with green veins in the spring. Watch how the colors change from pink to fiery orange and red, marking late spring. In cooler climates, this coloration lasts into the summer before bursts of bronze and green take charge. Come fall, the Muro gawa Japanese Maple begins the show again with blazing reds, oranges, and yellows! The Muro gawa even dispalys yellow-green bark, which offers a marvelous contrasts and captivating winter silhouette. This petite tree makes excellent addition to public and private garden dispalys, as a container plant or bonsai!
