Flowering Trees and Shrubs : Grevillea Victoriae GREVILLEA 3 - Year Tree
* Full Sun-Part shade * Zones 7-9 * 8' tall * 6' wide
The large showy clusters of beak-shaped buds and richly hued, red-yellow Honeysuckle-style flowers autumn through winter and sporadically throughout the year.!!
Silky gray upright twigs are attractively cloaked in long, silver-hued roundish Willow-like leaves!
Hummingbirds love this tree and it is an excellent source of food for them in the winter when nothing else is flowering except this Tree!
A very hardy grevillea to at least 5 - 10°F! maybe colder
A close relative of G. victoriae which seems to be just about as hardy as that species. Compared to G. victoriae, the leaves are rounder and greener. The flowers are similar in shape to G. victoriae. G. miqueliana is very rare now, but is sure to become more popular as its great hardiness, certainly to at least 5 - 10°F, becomes better known. This species hails from both Australia and South America and is thought to be 130 million years old. Dangling from fast growing arching stems and favored by hummingbirds, the large showy clusters feature beak-shaped buds and richly hued, red-yellow Honeysuckle-style flowers autumn through winter and sporadically throughout the year. One of the hardiest Grevillea cultivars
