Very Dwarf, 'Tanima No Yuki' grows only 1-2" a year!
Pinus parviflora 'Tani Mano Uki' very slow growing with outstanding colors. The white variegation is always present in varying degrees throughout the seasons. But in the spring, the new growth has white foliage and pink tipped buds. The pink lasts for a few weeks as it eventually fades but while it is there, it is very striking. Most of the white stays on the foliage throughout the year. The name is Japanese for "Snow in the Valley".
Keep them in partial shade, full sun is ok, you may get slight tip burn but the white seems more intense with some shade.
Goes well with Thunderhead Pine, Dragon Eyer Pine, Vanderwolf Pyramid Pine as well as Black Bamboo. Check out our store for these great plants!
