Shipping / Returns Policy
We guarantee safe arrival of our plants. If the plant arrives dead or damaged, please email us a picture of the damaged plant within 24 hours of delivery and we will send you a replacement plant. (buyer pays shipping costs) All trees are shipped 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail (Expensive but worth it). Japanese maples and evergreens prices are set to move lots of product, keeping our inventory fresh and provide you with some awesome varieties. We ship to all reaches of the continental USA only.
Most trees are in 2 7/8” containers some slightly smaller containers and also some 1 gallons. Plants purchased from Japanese maples and Evergreens Nursery are sent in their original soil with the roots intact. All trees are shipped in their original container trying to keep disturbances at a minimum so as not to harm the important root hairs. They are then thoroughly watered and wrapped in plastic stretch wrap before being shipped two-day priority mail to insure minimum stress in transit to their new home.
When they arrive, keep your plant moist, but not soggy, until planting. Keep the package away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat. Containerized trees help insure excellent transplant success. If a tree is planted correctly it will grow twice as fast and live at least twice as long as one that is incorrectly planted. Inadequate soil preparation and improper planting are two frequent causes of plant failure.
We ship Monday – Wednesday depending on weather and our schedule. We may delay shipping for 1 week around Holidays and extreme weather. All of our trees are hardened off outside the greenhouse environment at zone 7 before shipping.
We reserve the right to selectively prune all plant material before shipping. We typically only do this for the faster growing maples and bamboo. We strongly encourage you prune your maples to promote proper branching and structure as well.
